France Dominates Argentina in Paris Showdown

France avenged their summer loss to Argentina with a commanding victory in Paris extending their unbeaten run in the Autumn Nations Series. Thibaud Flament scored the opening try with a close-range effort while Tomas Albornoz kept the Pumas in contention early on with accurate kicking. Gabin Villiere finished off a brilliant French move to widen the gap. Juan Martin Gonzalez then deliberately knocked on the ball to stop Louis Bielle-Biarrey from scoring which earned him a yellow card.

France took advantage and added a penalty try, reaching halftime with a 30-9 lead at Stade de France. The Pumas, who narrowly lost to Ireland in their previous match, showed resilience after the break. They pushed forward and came close before Thomas Gallo finally crossed the line for their first try. However, Louis Bielle-Biarrey responded with a stunning display of skill, chasing his own kick to score his 10th Test try in just 14 appearances, restoring France’s control.

Argentina continued to fight with substitute Ignacio Ruiz powering over for a consolation try but they couldn’t stop France from securing their sixth win in seven meetings against the South Americans. The victory completed a perfect autumn campaign for Les Bleus, who also defeated Japan and New Zealand. After the match, France lock Emmanuel Meafou praised Argentina’s effort, saying, “We knew it would be an 80-minute game.

They pushed Ireland last week, so we had to be prepared.” He expressed satisfaction with the team’s unbeaten series and highlighted their focus on building momentum for the Six Nations. France delivered a dominant performance, combining sharp attacks with disciplined defense to claim a memorable win against a determined Argentina side.
