Nutcharut, aged 24, demonstrated impressive form by winning three consecutive frames to achieve a 4-2 triumph over Evans, who is a former women’s world champion and 38 years old.

This win not only highlights Nutcharut’s growing prowess in snooker but also grants her a notable match-up in the second round against Ricky Walden. Walden a seasoned player will be a significant challenge as Nutcharut continues her pursuit in the ranking tournament. The tournament will see high-profile players such as Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump and reigning world champion Kyren Wilson join the competition in the third round.

They will be competing for the prestigious top prize of £100,000. Their participation adds a layer of excitement and high stakes as the tournament progresses.
