Grigor Dimitrov advanced to the US Open quarter-finals for the first time since 2019 after defeating Andrey Rublev in a tense five-set match. Dimitrov won the first two sets but had to withstand a strong comeback from Rublev to secure a 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), 1-6, 3-6, 6-3 victory. Although he mounted a comeback in the third and fourth sets, Dimitrov regained control in the fifth ultimately closing out the match.
