Jannik Sinner continues to break records with his dominant form on the tennis court, extending his career-best winning streak to 21 matches. In his Australian Open final victory, the world number one triumphed 6-3, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 over second seed Alexander Zverev, becoming Italy’s first three-time Grand Slam champion. Despite ongoing uncertainty around a doping case, Sinner remains an unstoppable force on the court.

Pat Cash, former Wimbledon champion, praised Sinner’s potential, calling him one of the greatest players the sport has ever seen. Sinner’s impressive rise began in October 2023 when an illness at the China Open marked the turning point in his career. Since then, he has amassed a 98-9 record with only three losses to rival Carlos Alcaraz. After replacing Novak Djokovic as world number one in June 2024, Sinner has maintained extraordinary consistency, winning 47 of his first 50 matches as the top-ranked player.

His strong Grand Slam performances also include a 30-2 record. Coaches Simone Vagnozzi and Darren Cahill credited Jannik Sinner’s maturity, both on and off the court for his growth. Known for his incredible movement, endurance and improved serve, Sinner has become a formidable presence. He saved an unmatched 73.7% of break points in 2024, ranking second in tie-breaks won.

However, Sinner’s future remains uncertain as he faces a doping case. He was cleared of wrongdoing in March 2024 after testing positive for clostebol but the World Anti-Doping Agency is appealing the decision. Despite the looming pressure, Sinner thrives in high-stress situations with his coach noting that he plays his best tennis in moments of adversity. The outcome of his doping case could determine his fate with a hearing scheduled for April 2024.
