Katerina Siniakova and Coco Gauff secured the French Open women’s doubles title with a commanding 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 victory over the Italian duo of Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani. This victory marked Coco Gauff’s first-ever major doubles title, highlighting a significant milestone in her career. Meanwhile, Katerina Siniakova added to her impressive tally of eight Grand Slam doubles titles, securing her third triumph at the prestigious Paris event.

The defeat marked a tough turn for Paolini, who suffered her second Grand Slam final loss in as many days, following her defeat in the women’s singles final against world number one Iga Swiatek on Saturday. Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic triumphed on the men’s side, securing the doubles title with a convincing 7-5, 6-3 victory over Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.

Their impressive performance showcased their skill and teamwork, solidifying their status as formidable competitors in men’s doubles tennis. Gauff’s partnership with Siniakova at a major event was a spontaneous decision, as her usual partner Jessica Pegula withdrew due to injury before the tournament.  Gauff and Pegula had previously reached the Paris final together in 2022.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Gauff thanked Siniakova for inviting her to play, acknowledging the impromptu nature of their partnership just two days before the tournament began.
