Novak Djokovic, the defending French Open champion, staged an incredible comeback to reach the quarter-finals, overcoming Francisco Cerundolo in a thrilling five-set match. Despite struggling with a knee injury and trailing by two sets and a break, Djokovic managed to snatch victory from defeat, winning 6-1 5-7 3-6 7-5 6-3 in a marathon four-hour and 39-minute battle. Djokovic’s win not only secured his place in the last eight but also marked his 370th Grand Slam match victory, surpassing Roger Federer’s record.

Additionally, Djokovic extended his record for the most major quarter-finals appearances to 59. Despite facing physical challenges, Novak Djokovic will face Casper Ruud in the next round of the tournament. Djokovic’s resilience and determination to compete at the highest level remain evident as he progresses further in the competition. Meanwhile, Daniil Medvedev suffered a surprising defeat, falling to Alex de Minaur in four sets. De Minaur’s victory earned him a quarter-final clash with Djokovic.
