Transvulcania Returns Strong After La Palma’s Volcanic Setback

Transvulcania, renowned for its challenging and scenic ultra-marathon on La Palma, faced a setback in 2021 when a volcanic eruption disrupted the island. Consequently, the race was canceled, only to return in 2022 under new management after severing ties with UTMB. The event spans a week, offering various distances culminating in a demanding 73km ultra-marathon through volcanic terrain.
