The 25-year-old American golfer, who planned to defend her title at the Centurion Club, shared the news on social media, stating, “On Saturday in Seattle, a dog bit me, and I need time to receive treatment and recover fully.”

Korda apologized to the Ladies European Tour (LET), the event sponsors, and her fans for her unexpected absence. “I apologize to the LET, the sponsors, and my fans for my absence. Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to returning to the course soon,” she wrote.
